Finding out what type of food causes you to have an acne breakout is not easy because you never do know what types of foods are good or bad for you unless you go through a trial and error process of eliminating what appears to cause pimples to occur when you eat them.

Many experts have recommended an all rounded diet as an acne solution because this appears to be the best solution for a healthy body, which leads to the development of a healthy skin. This involves eating lots of whole foods and foods that are not processed. Vegetables, fruits and lots of water are always recommended because they can help to provide nutrients while not weighing down the body with excessive baggage and other unnecessary stuff. This is very helpful and easy to implement. Just go to the whole foods section more than the processed foods section in the supermarket.

Some common foods to avoid include fatty and greasy food as well as foods that are very high in simple carbohydrates because they tend to spike your insulin. Instead you should eat foods that are high on the glycemic index. Sweet potatoes are an excellent choice here because of their low GI value and high vitamin value. Go for foods that are high in natural vitamins and you’ll see the effects on your skin really soon!

Don’t expect your skin to clear up immediately after you start eating healthy because that won’t happen. But you’ll feel better and your skin will get better eventually. You will see less and less pimple showing up on your skin and you’ll be happy enough to notice that your skin is clearing up gradually. Its not an overnight cure but diet certainly helps a great deal!

Knowing what to eat for your acne free diet is also important because some stuff is good and some stuff is not as good. Fish oil or anything rich in Omega-3 is really good for your skin. This includes something like flax seed oil and evening primrose oil, both of which are rich in healthy fatty acids you should take for your skin. You should also take a multi-vitamin supplement whenever possible so you have everything you need in your body.

To test if your acne diet works or not you can simply stop eating specific foods for a while and tend observe the effects on your skin. You may notice that once you stop eating specific foods, you will have lesser acne breakouts. These acne foods are known as triggers and if you find out what they are, they will aid you greatly in getting rid of acne forever.

While on an acne diet, try to keep your skin clear too by using the right acne facial wash and the appropriate moisturizer. Don’t put any rich creams or oils on your face especially if you have an oily face in the first place. Stay away from the usual process foods and stop eating so much sugar because they can really hurt your internal system and cause acne to break out again.

To sum up, you can get clear of acne with the right diet but you really need to understand that this isn’t a quick and easy process. You need to give up the foods you like and eat foods that you might not fancy in the first place. But stick with it and you’ll see effects soon enough!
