Avoid Loneliness After A Break Up
One of the worst things that can happen after a break up is being lonely. A break up alone is bad enough but then sitting at home all by yourself to think about it is worse.
I am going to give you some advice which will hopefully help you to avoid this lonely stage. The first thing to remember is that being around lots of people will open your eyes a bit more and take your mind off your ex.
When you are in a relationship, you will probably not see your friends as much as your efforts will be concentrated on your partner. So you have to contact these old friends and make amends with them to get them back on your side.
It is vital to spend as much time with them as possible. It doesn’t matter if things are a bit awkward at first, you just have to try. However if you managed to stay in regular contact with friends whilst you were in your relationship then there should be no problem.
Spending time with family is important too. Siblings are good to spend more time with. Your parents are even there as some company but they probably won’t be who you turn to first.
It would also be helpful if you join a local gym or leisure centre. This is advantageous for several reasons, firstly it will help keep you in shape for when you finally speak to your ex again.
If you start shaping up or losing weight it will also give you more confidence. If you combine gym time with time with your friends it will keep you well occupied and will help you keep your mind off your ex.
Being completely alone will probably make you do some desperate things in an attempt to get your ex back. You may bombard them with phone calls and messages and do other things that will just send them further away from you, keeping busy will stop you from resorting to this.
